This traditionally shaped home is located in Bavaria, (
Germany) in a small village of just 900 inhabitants.
The distinctive character of the houses in the village, with steeply sloping roofs covered with bright red tiles, wooden elements and white façades, has been maintained, but the choice has been made to opt for external finishes with porcelain tiles, for a material yet contemporary look.
The
outdoor paving creates a platform that joins up the various volumes that make up the villa, without creating any difference in height compared to the garden. This boosts the perception of space and creates a seamless transition between the building and the natural environment.
The tile that best suited the client's needs was a
stone-effect porcelain stoneware option from the
La Roche collection by Rex, in the 60x60 size and with a thickness of 20mm. This tile comes in a
non-slip texture with a predominantly grey colour.
The inspiration for the porcelain stoneware used is a beautifully striking stone of French origin, with significant shading and
easy to keep clean.
The elegant, discreet charm of the stone makes the volume of the residence stand out in all its importance, and the end result perfectly combines a
supremely contemporary look with the classic style of the surroundings.
The top-quality outdoor tiles chosen by our client for the renovation are
made exclusively in Italy.
